From technical operations to applied intelligence.
The most interesting thing about AI is what it can make possible for people. More room to create. A clearer view of complex work. The ability to pursue an idea that once felt out of reach.
That is what I am working toward: useful software that expands what you can do while keeping you in control.
Imagine starting your workday with the relevant decisions, files, and next actions brought into focus, instead of piecing them together across scattered tools. You spend less time rebuilding context and more time doing the work that matters.
That is the possibility I am interested in: reducing the friction between an idea and its execution without asking you to surrender your judgment.
Ambitious ideas deserve a solid foundation.
Clear boundaries begin with what a system may read, what it may change, and which actions need your approval. My approach pairs those limits with testing of realistic workflows—including interruptions and mistakes—and a defined way to recover when something goes wrong.
The aim is useful assistance you can understand, question, and control: fewer surprises, clearer decisions, and a practical way to keep moving.
The perspective behind the work.
I am Richard Dobias, a retired U.S. Navy officer with approximately 25 years of service and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. My background spans information warfare, technical operations, and training.
That experience shaped how I approach uncertainty, responsibility, and systems people depend on. Today, I bring that perspective to software for business operations, research, creative work, and the development process itself.
The portfolio is where those ideas take shape. Through the projects and the lessons behind them, I explore how powerful tools can support human judgment, preserve context, and make complicated work easier to navigate.
